Calin Georgescu remains under judicial control

Bucharest District 1 Court on Thursday rejected as unfounded the complaint filed by Georgescu Calin against the measure of judicial control in the case in which he is being prosecuted on six counts, including attempted incitement against the constitutional order.

„Pursuant to Article 213 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, rejects as unfounded the complaint lodged by the defendant Georgescu Calin against ordinance no. 2226/221/P/2023/d1 dated 26.02.2025 of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of taking the preventive measure of judicial control. Pursuant to Article 275 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code, the defendant Georgescu Calin is ordered to pay to the State the amount of 100 RON as legal costs.
