Tate brothers detained by DIICOT prosecutors

Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were detained Wednesday night by the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) prosecutors in a case in which they are accused of forming an organized criminal group, trafficking in minors, trafficking in persons, sexual intercourse with a minor, influencing statements and money laundering.

After several hours of questioning, Andrew and Tristan Tate were handcuffed and taken out of the DIICOT headquarters and put into a police van.

Before being put in the van, the Tate brothers were outraged by the charges against them, claiming there was no evidence against them.

In the same case, four other people have been detained, DIICOT representatives say.
